I’m Charese

Leadership Consultant and Coach, Transformational Speaker, Master Storyteller, and a Licensed Clinical Therapist.

Life isn’t always easy, and becoming more confident with managing life doesn’t always come naturally, but I have discovered that the best way to overcome obstacles is through learning—and accepting—who we are and where we are in life.

Empowerment Through Leadership and Relationships

I became a leadership consultant and coach upon realizing how much I and the other women in my life were being impacted by toxic, draining, and counterproductive workplace dynamics. As leaders, we often put work objectives before strong interpersonal relationships, but the truth is that both are important to the process of thriving both personally and professionally.

Using my background in leadership positions and as a licensed therapist, I am committed to guiding my clients in developing their emotional intelligence so they can get what they want out of their work, relationships, and life in general.

Taking Control for Success

The fact of the matter is that without insight into who you are and why you do what you do, you’re likely to blame others for what’s wrong. Yet, effective leadership is about accepting that the only person you have control over is yourself.

Empower Change Through Self-Reflection

The first step to changing your circumstances is to do the internal work of accurately identifying where you are, how you got here, and what you have to offer. Through deep reflection, you can better recognize your strengths and weaknesses, offering insights into the areas of life where you can either spend or conserve your energy.

Integrating Leadership and Wellness

Oftentimes, coaches, mentors, and transformational speakers center their guidance on either mental wellness or being a great leader. My approach is unique and all-encompassing because it focuses on both. Working together with you and your team, I can help you completely transform your personal and workplace dynamics to achieve a new sense of balance and empowerment in your life.

The First Step To Being An Effective Leader Is Recognizing Your Blind Spots

When I took on my first supervisory role in the early 2000s, I did the job well; I was organized and efficient. My employees knew that they could come to me to ask questions about the systems we had in place, and I was able to catch their errors.

Yet, on an interpersonal level, something wasn’t clicking with my staff. Our conversations were often generic and superficial and didn’t contribute to building strong, trusted relationships. As I reflected more on this, I realized I was putting the work itself ahead of the people doing it.

I then began to try as many things as I could to be more aware of my blind spots. I became increasingly comfortable with asking my teammates, friends, and family, “What am I missing?” The answers I received allowed me to build a more trusting relationship with my team and foster stronger personal connections. The work was completed more efficiently with less stress for everyone.

From this, I developed the concept of healthy people, healthy relationships, healthy teams, eventually switching gears to focus on helping other women conserve their energy and tap into their strengths.

In addition to being a leadership consultant, licensed therapist, and transformational speaker, I am a proud wife and mother of two. I’m always finding new ways to grow and challenge outdated mindsets, often using my personal relationships to guide reflection.
